when I use high heat eg x degrees in the bottom oven I find the grillsmall top oven is overheating yet it is not on nor has it been in use. the heat thus generated in top oven is excessive and worrying set off smoke alarm. there is a smell of overheating and the glass on top oven burned. this has happened about three times in recent weeks. my cooker is a dual fuel df x sl the hob is gas and is working really well. thank you.
